Household Support Tasks

Like Daily Tasks/Shared Living, this support class includes assistance with household chores for participants living independently or with family.

Examples of hypothetical situations:

With support from his NDIS-funded support worker, Tom learns practical skills and receives guidance that enables him to maintain a tidy and organised living space. Tom takes pride in his ability to care for his home and enjoys a sense of accomplishment in his daily routines.

Example 2: Mia, a young woman with a physical disability, lives with her family and requires support with meal preparation and grocery shopping. With assistance from her NDIS-funded support worker, Mia learns adaptive techniques and receives guidance that allows her to cook nutritious meals and manage her household efficiently. Mia feels empowered and capable as she contributes to her family’s well-being and independence.
